Sophia-Antipolis 12 December 2023 — evroc’s roadmap to operate 10 hyperscale data centers in Europe by 2030 is progressing rapidly. Today, the company is excited to announce the appointment of Robert Eriksson as Director of Engineering and Head of the Sophia Antipolis Development Hub, where evroc plans to hire 50 software engineers over the next 12 months.

Recruiting the world’s most accomplished and talented engineers is vital to achieving these ambitions, and the company’s new Director of Engineering Robert Eriksson will serve a fundamental role in realizing this goal.
France is a strong champion in favor of Europe gaining strategic autonomy across key sectors of the economy including cloud services. Against this background, evroc seeks to make Sophia-Antipolis a cornerstone development hub with plans to hire the first 50 engineers over the coming year.
Robert Eriksson brings an impressive track-record of driving technical transformation in sectors ranging from financial services to governmental agencies, consistently delivering cloud transformation and operational excellence. He spent 13 years in London working in senior IT roles in the Financial Services Sector including as Digital CTO of Lloyds Banking Group and for the NatWest Group. Throughout these roles, Eriksson managed large teams covering IT delivery, 24/7 operations, security and change implementation. Robert Eriksson started his career by spending 8 years serving clients with Accenture’s Global Architecture & Core Technology practice based in Sophia Antipolis, France.
