Stockholm, April 11, 2024 — evroc, the company building Europe’s first secure, sovereign, and sustainable hyperscale cloud, today announced the appointment of Magnus Persson as Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s financial operations on the path to operating 10 hyperscale data centers in Europe by 2030. Persson will join evroc from Skanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction companies, where he has served as CFO since 2018.

Backed by global technology investor EQT Ventures and impact investor Norrsken VC, evroc last year announced its plans to build Europe’s first hyperscale cloud. In November 2023, evroc announced the selection of Stockholm as the location for its first flagship data center, serving as a scaling platform for evroc’s hyperscale cloud and potential epicenter for AI development in Europe. By 2030, evroc aims to establish 10 hyperscale data centers, as well as three software development hubs, across the continent, employing over 10,000 people in total.
