Senior UX-DX Developer

The team:

During this early stage of our journey, we operate as an integrated and cohesive engineering team. As we scale our software development team over time, we envision forming multiple specialized teams, each focusing on specific features within our cloud. By joining us at this foundational stage, you have a unique opportunity to significantly shape our codebase, drive the direction of future product development and collaborate closely together with other leaders in the field.

Examples of day-to-day responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing and implementing user interfaces for our cloud platform products that are visually appealing, highly functional and intuitive.
• Practice design thinking: identifying needs and requirements of developers that are users of our cloud platform, focusing on their productivity and efficiency, creating developer love.
• Ensure aligned user experiences between different interfaces including GUI and CLI.
• Collaborate closely with our different back-end teams in building the UX and Developer Experience for their services.
• Build design systems allowing multiple back-end service teams to take responsibility for some UX development, enabling aligned UX development at scale.
• Researching developer and engineering productivity with a view to turning insights into designs.

We appreciate if you have experience with some of the following:

• Experience from at least one hyperscale cloud platform (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Extensive understanding and experience of UX principles and best practices.
• Broad skill set and experiences of web frameworks such as svelte and react, languages including JS/TS, NodeJS, Pyton, and some full stack development using APIs (including API design).
• Embracing scale, quality, and taking a long term perspective – i.e. how our UX and developer experience scales to support a large number of users while still being unified, beautiful, and productive.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Being a key contributor within the team. Mentor and train others and provide technical insight, guidance, and support.
• Collaborate with developers and other team members to tackle exciting and challenging problems to deliver customer value, balancing short- and long-term priorities and taking conscious decisions on topics.
